In 2007, a small group of people began an intentional, collaborative experiment in open, transparent, and direct communication about your space program. Our goal was to enable your direct participation in exploring and contributing to NASA’s mission.

Many of us have since begun new adventures. This site will remain as an archive of the accomplishments of the openNASA experiment.

Twitter produced an amazing new video that launched today marketing the platforms new redesign and functionality. The company chose to inspire their audience with space, including a quote from Carl Sagan, video from a space shuttle launch and footage from @astro_ron. 30 seconds into the video Twitter writes “love being reminded of the power and magic of #space.” We couldn’t agree more!
